An investigation is ongoing into a possible gang-related shooting in Northeast Portland. Police responded to the 6300 block of Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard last night. Witnesses told arriving officers they saw people inside two separate vehicles fire shots at each other before fleeing the scene. It's not yet clear if anyone was injured.

Portland Police say they responded to the KFC at 8131 SE Powell Blvd at 4:05 a.m. after receiving reports of two people shooting at each other. A Red Cross emergency shelter established to help those displaced by the scrap yard fire in Northeast Portland is nearing capacity Tuesday morning. Many people were still forced to evacuate their homes Tuesday due to the poor air quality in the neighborhood.
