Last night Clackamas fire crews were called to the report of a detached garage on fire on Clackamas River Dr. in Oregon city. Firefighters arrived to find a detached garage on fire with flames spreading to the trees and house. The fire was extinguished. No injuries reported

While conducting yesterday's mission to locate and recover stolen vehicles, officers found 5 starving kittens in a truck. Animal control picked them up to get them care. Too bad we don't have a unit for police kittens or the gray and white one would be hired

East Precinct officers are investigating a shooting at SE 64th and SE Woodward St. A woman was struck by an apparent stray bullet. She was struck by a fragment in her face while she was asleep. Her injuries are non life threatening and she is being treated at a nearby hospital

Nightshift was busy. A DUII crash into a house in the 700 block of NE sumner resulted in an arrest. A burglar was apprehended in the 6500 block of NE Columbia Blvd by a K9. Also over $10K in bikes taken in the 2200 block of N Williams Ave. and one arrest made. Bikes recovered

Portland Police say another update to come at Noon. At this point, roads still blocked off and evacuated residents still out of their homes. A neighbor sent this (grainy) video of the SERT response earlier this morning on North Willis. He heard shooting and yelling
@PortlandPolice say an officer was shot in the leg as police served search warrant. Suspect was killed. Several officers here at Legacy Emmanuel where we presume injured officer was taken. No word on condition.
Portland Police say the fatal shooting of the suspect happened "as the evacuation process was happening," which was after one of their officers was shot in the leg. Unknown at this time when those two events occurred. That officer is OK, currently at Legacy Emmanuel
