Chetco Bar Fire grows to 167,000 acres, multiple evacuations issued for Brookings, Oregon
#Firefighters across Oregon will be working this Labor Day to gain control of 17 large wildfires currently burning in the state.
The Horse Prairie Fire, six miles west of Riddle, has close to 1,000 personnel working on the fire.
At last report, the fire is estimated at 12,813 acres and 20 percent contained

Chetco Bar Fire: The Illinois Valley Fire District said the Chetco Bar fire has crept into Josephine County, around 13 miles from Selma. While the district says the probability of the fire moving that close is low, it still wants to be prepared for if it does. The Illinois Valley Fire District said it won't wait to prepare for the fire to spread further into the county. Instead, it is already getting resources to the area in case it has to fight it
